#IndyOfTheWeek is The In A Box Project's way of celebrating independent music. Every week we will be picking out an indy artist that we love. It may be because their music blows us away. It might just be because they're different. Either way, they will be worthy.
Bülow is a pop star in the making. The German/Canadian artist started busking on the streets of London aged 11 and is now working with producers in Toronto, London and The Hague. Mixing electronic hip-hop and rnb, Bülow has a clear talent for writing classic, catchy pop songs. With such an impressive start to her career, #IndyOfTheWeek No.9 was a no brainer.
Currently residing in the Netherlands, Bülow released Damaged Vol.1 at the end of 2017. The project includes 3 edgy yet contemporary tracks, the most popular of which, Love Goes Wrong, now has over 10m plays on Spotify. The hit is extremely well produced and dropped just in time for Valentine's day. This careful planning and marketing intelligence has no doubt contributed to the overall success of the record and we think makes Bülow a worthy winner.
