#IndyOfTheWeek is The In A Box Project's newest blog feature. Every week we will be picking out an independent artist that we love. It may be because their music blows us away. It might just be because they're different. Either way, they will be worthy.

Week 3 and we're looking at London's own Tom Tripp. The 21 year old singer/songwriter produces his own tracks and was initially noticed by soul songstress NAO, for his track Aurelia, which has now surpassed 120k streams on Soundcloud. Aurelia has now been followed up with an infectious pop funk EP, released on Tripp's own label Prime Sound.
Whilst being modern sounding, you can clearly hear the influence of past music megastars Prince and Michael Jackson. Since his early breakthrough, Tripp has teamed up with Native Mgmt, joining other prestigious artists such as Mura Masa, Bonzai & Jadu Heart. We can't wait to see how this guy progresses in 2018!
We're taking a break for a few weeks over Christmas but will be back at it early in the new year. Let us know what you think and dont forget to show your support to the artist. You can follow Tom Tripp on social media by using the links below!
